The public is invited to the opening and artists' reception of the 2004 Wallowa County Youth Arts Festival from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 23, at the Joseph Community Center. The People's Choice winner, which will also be the Best of Show, will be voted on Friday evening. Public viewing of the art show will continue 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 24, and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, April 25.

All students in kindergarten through 12th are encouraged to participate. Entries must be delivered at the community center between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday, April 22 (today).

The Youth Arts Festival is free, though donations are gratefully accepted.

Anyone interested in volunteering to help set up, tear down, make or serve refreshments and monitor the show will be welcome.

The festival is put on by the Wallowa Valley Arts Council and the Youth Arts Festival Committee.
