Brian Keith Boner, 44, died Jan. 2, 2003, in Vancouver, Wash., due to heart failure. He was born July 17, 1958, at Camp Irwin (now Fort Irwin), Calif., to Dale W. and Corliss A. Boner.

Brian spent his early years in Wallowa County. After high school, he attended Oregon State University in Corvallis and Oregon Technical Institute in Klamath Falls, where he earned a BS degree in computer technology.

For the last nine years, he was employed at Vector SCM in Portland as a senior system analyst for their distribution of automobiles and automobile parts, where he was well respected.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara, and daughter, Kathryn, both of Vancouver; his parents, Dale and Corliss Boner of Enterprise; a sister, Traci Clore of Bend; and grandparents, Arthur and Joy Bartmess of Enterprise. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Lyle and Sylvia Boner and Virgil Winters and many other ancestors who called Wallowa County home.

Funeral services were held Jan. 8, 2003, at St. John's Catholic Church in Vancouver, with interment following at Park Hill Cemetery in Vancouver. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lyle and Sylvia Boner Fund at Wallowa Memorial Hospital or to the charity of one's choice.
