Darlean Diane Gagne-Travis

Darlean Diane Gagne-Travis died Oct. 7, 2009 at Wallowa Memorial Hospital in Enterprise, Oregon. She was born Dec. 28, 1956 in Timmins, Ontario, Canada to Ron and Claudette Gagne. She was the eldest of four children.

She grew up in the Timmins area, later moving to Vancouver B.C., Canada.

She was very busy during her life, beginning as a manager of a five star restaurant at an early age. She picked up her love for cooking from her family and the restaurant business. She later worked in the insurance business which took her to the Vancouver, B.C. area.

She married Cactus Travis Oct. 1, 2004 in Vancouver, B.C.and moved with him to Joseph. The couple spent their summers there and wintered in the Yucatan Penninsula of Mexico.

Darlean was a very outgoing person and made friends wherever she went. She will be missed by everyone who knew her, especially her family.

She is survived by her husband, Louis "Cactus" Travis; sons, Derick Lefebvre and Joel Daigle; sisters, Carol Bourques of Bathhurst, New Brunswick, Canada and Sue Niemi,of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; son, Dan Gagne of Timmins, Ontario, Canada; and step-father Andy St. Laurent of Chandler, Ariz.

A rememberance was held Sat. Oct. 10, 2009 at the Travis home in Joseph.
