Gordon A. "Gordy" McGinnis, 75, of Milwaukee, died March 4, 2004, of heart failure. He was born Aug. 30, 1928 to Uley P. and Georgia (Childers) McGinnis in Enterprise.

Gordon graduated from Enterprise High School in 1946. He was employed Raven Foods in Enterprise after graduation until serving in the Army from 1950 to 1952 in Korea, where he earned the Combat Infantry Badge, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Medal and the American Defense Medal. Upon his return he attended Oregon Technical Institute from 1953 to 1955, becoming a certified master watchmaker. In 1957, Gordon went to work for the U. S. Postal Service until retiring in 1987. He married Elizabeth Hargus in 1962.

Survivors include his wife Elizabeth; two daughters, Kelly Sauierman and Mary McGinnis; two sisters, Marilyn Crawford of Keno and Lolita Fermanich of Antigo, Wis.; a brother, Pat McGinnis of Enterprise; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
