Ida "Joyce" Tippett, 76, of Wallowa died Nov. 12, 2004, in La Grande.

Joyce was born May 20, 1928, in La Grande to Edward Davis and Hattie Meyers Davis of North Powder. She was married to William S. "Bill" Tippett on Sept. 6, 1946. at Wallowa Christian Church.

Joyce worked as a bank teller for several years before retiring. She was a member of E.S.A. Gamma Theta Sorority and Enterprise Ladies Elks.

She enjoyed volunteering at Wallowa Senior Center and Food Bank, bowling, working in her yard and spending time with her family.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband in Aug. 2001. Survivors include her daughters Cathy Kiesecker of La Grande and Sheri Ominski of Portland; five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; brothers Kenneth Davis of Wallowa and Clayton Davis of Seattle; sister Jackie April of La Grande; and sister-in-law Joanne Tippett of Clackamas.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Nov. 20, at 1 p.m. at Bollman Funeral Home in Enterprise.
