Kenneth Carmony, 75, of Gresham passed away unexpectedly at his home Nov. 2, 2002. He was born Jan. 10, 1925, in the Portland area where he lived his whole life.

Mr. Carmony graduated from Roosevelt High School then served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. After returning home, he became a firefighter for the Portland Fire Bureau, remaining with the department until retiring in 1985.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and his family.

Survivors include his wife Glenda Sheets Carmony (an Enterprise High School graduate) at home; sons Scott Allen Carmony of Salem and Todd Michael Carmony of Gresham; and four grandchildren.

A gathering was held in his memory Nov. 9 at the Eagles Lodge with many firemen, friends and family attending.
