Larry L. Jones

Larry L. Jones, 81, of Clarkston, Wash. died in Lewiston, Idaho.

He was born to Lowell L and Chris-tina M. (Lawson) Jones in Milton.

He at-tended various elementary schools in the Walla Walla valley and graduated from McLaughlin Union High School. He attended Oregon State College in Corvallis. ) He entered the Army in 1952. After a tour of duty in Korea, he was honorably discharged in 1954 with the rank of Sergeant first class.

He was a past exalted ruler and member of Elks Lodge BPOE 2146 for 42 years. He was also a member of the Milton-Freewater Chamber of Commerce and Junior of Chamber of Commerce; the VFW; the American Legion; the Masonic Lodge as 32nd degree Mason; Rotary International; was past president of Umatilla County Realty Board; and past president of Umatilla Independent Insurance Agents.

He retired in 1993, and that same year, on April 10, he married Coralie J. Woodward Reynolds.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Norman and Donell; and two sisters, Wegonda Jones White and Judy Jones Zaragoza.

He is survived by his wife; stepdaughters, Debbra Gray and her husband John of Enterprise and Nancy Fontaine and her husband Gus of Clarkston, Wash.; stepsons, Dan Reynolds and his wife Diana of Joseph and Darrell Reynolds and his wife Tammie of Troy; eight step-grandchildren and 10 step-great grandchildren; brothers, Blaine (Sara) Jones and his wife Sara of Milton-Freewater, Duane Jones of Mesa, Ariz. And Mike Jones and his wife Sue of Pendleton; sister, Mitzi Hess and her husband Royd of Heppner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 27, at Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home, 902 S. Main St., Milton-Freewater.
