Linda Collins Smith, 57, of Hermiston, died April 4, 2003, in a Spokane hospital following a heart attack. She was born Dec. 5, 1944, in La Grande to Reta and Kenneth Keeler of Wallowa.

After growing up in Wallowa County, she moved to the Pendleton area in 1964 where she worked for various firms. She was active with 4-H horse projects and organized a playday club for young riders.

Survivors are sisters Betty Siebert of Milton-Freewater and Joyce Barth of Pendleton.

An open house will be held in the home of Joyce Barth, 1706 S. W. 44th, in Pendleton on Sunday, April 13, between 2 and 4 p.m. for friends and relatives to gather together and share memories of Ms. Smith. Memorial contributions may be made to the Umatilla County 4-H horse program directly or through Bishop Funeral Chapel, P. O. Box 325, Pendleton,OR 97801.
