Marjorie A. Swift, 90, of Joseph but previously of Redmond, died March 26, 2003. She was born Dec. 15, 1912 in Rockford, Ill. to Geirge and Emma (Miller) Giese.

During her life time, Mrs. Swift worked as a nurse and did clothing alterations. She was married to Bevel Swift for 67 until his death just last December. She enjoyed sewing, reading, singing in the church choir in Redmond and her family.

Survivors include daughters Sue Smyth and Marilyn Woods, both of Wallowa, and 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bevel, and her parents.

Details regarding the memorial service will be announced at a later date. Arrangement are being handled by the Bollman Funeral Home.
