Former Wallowa County resident Mark V. Parrott 66, died Aug. 10, 2004, in Kingman Regional Hospital, Kingman, Ariz.

Mark was born May 1, 1938, in Woodburn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Parrott. He served in the Air Force from 1957 to 1961. He and Judy Weaver married Feb. 10, 1967, in West Covina, Calif.

Following his career with Phillips Petroleum Co., he became the owner of several businesses in French Gulch Calif., where he served four years on the school board.

In 1978 Mark and Judy Parrotts bought actor Walter Brennan's Indian Lodge Motel in Joseph.

In 1982, Mark moved to McMinnville and was employed with Western Helicopter until his retirement. He then relocated to Meadview, Ariz.

Survivors include a son, Jeff D. Parrott of Milton, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Jamie Weaver of Bartlesville, Okla.; three brothers, two sisters and six grandchildren.
