Jesse R. Trump died at his home in Elgin on June 4, 2007. He was 83.

Mr. Trump was born to Lacey and Lula Lyon Trump on March 22, 1924, in the Promise-Grossman area. On July 5, 1946 he married Jean Read after serving in the U.S. Army. They had two children.

He worked as a machinist and welder and had his own shop in Portland for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, billiards and cards. He was known for his good jokes.

He was preceded in death by his sister Hazel Wickins and brothers Lloyd, Everett and twin brother Jack. He is survived by his wife; his children Terry and Peggy; brother Harry Trump; sister Willa Johnson and seven grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at the Elgin Cemetery on June 8.
