Richard Henry Wiche died Oct. 9, 2006, at St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, Wash. with his wife and family at his side. He was 63.

Mr. Wiche was born on Sept. 16, 1943, in Portland to Fred Henry and Verice

Griffin Wiche. He attended school in Portland and graduated from Madison

High School.

On Oct. 11, 2005, he married Karen "K.C." L. Cornwell in Portland.

Mr. Wiche worked on the waterfront as a longshoreman for 38 years.

He is survived by his wife K.C. Gabbert-Wiche of Enterprise; daughters Tanya Roberts of Coral Springs, Florida, Janelle Emery of Portland and Celina Kinzinger; sister Ann Holbrook of Otter Rock and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service has been held.
