Pennie Rae King-Plowman was born in Wenatchee, Washington in 1947 to her parents Eleanor (Penna) and Morris Allen. She died peacefully after a brave, 7-year battle with cancer on January 19 surrounded by her devoted husband, loving boys, and several family members and friends.
Pennie Rae never knew a stranger in her life and touched every soul lucky enough to know her. She graduated from Enterprise High School in 1965 and served Kaiser Permanente faithfully for over twenty years. Pennie’s true love of horses was where her service and passion inspired her time. She’s a lifelong member of the Clark County Saddle Club and she was the coordinator for the Vancouver Rodeo Grand Entry for many years. So many lives were touched by her years coaching three different drill teams: Prairie High School, Latigo and Lace, and Quicksilver. She also rode as a member for Quicksilver and the Outlaws.
Pennie Rae is survived by her loving husband Mark C. Plowman and brother Ron Hayes. As well, Pennie will be remembered by her sons: Todd (Heather) King, Ryan King, Mark Plowman, Jr, Eric (Mariam) Plowman and Bryan Plowman. Her heart will always be with her grandchildren: Savanna Rae, Andrew, Morgan, Aiden, Hannah, Natasha, Destiny, Kenny and Noah.
Services for Pennie Rae will be held at Crossroads Church on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 2pm.
