Robert D. Bennett was born January 25, 1937, in Elgin, Oregon to Clyde and Carrie Bennett. He passed away January 10, 2019, at home after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Bob graduated from Wallowa High School in 1956 and served in the Army National Guard for two years followed by two years in the United States Marine Corp.

Bob married the love of his life Karen on November 23, 1977. Bob and his brother Vernon owned and operated Ten-Neb Logging for many years. He was an active member of the Wallowa Church of Christ.

He was a loving and generous man and a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He was always willing to help others in there time of need.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Genieva Eckly and his brother Ronald Bennett. He is survived by his wife Karen, his children Sandy Bennett, Debbie Duran, Mike (Lori) Waters, Linda (Joe) Estes, Laurie (Rob) Jennings, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his brother Vernon (Glenda) Bennett.

Services will be held Saturday Jan. 26 at the Wallowa Church of Christ. A potluck will follow please bring your favorite dish and stay and visit.
