Sandra L. Nuxall, 68, died July 26, 2012, at her home in Richland, Wash.

She was born in Ogden, Utah, to Arthur and Lillian Creamer. She lived her childhood in Irrigon and graduated from Riverside High School. She went on to graduate from Eastern Oregon College with a bachelor’s in Secretarial Sciences.

Sandra married Stan Nuxall Sr. on Nov. 27, 1965, in Pendleton.

They moved to Richland from Walla Walla in 1971, where Sandra was a stay-at-home mother and later helped her husband open and operate the Pizza Pete restaurant in Richland. Sandra went on to work at Energy Northwest as an administrator for 22 years until she retired.

She was active in the PTA and helped with PTA legislation in Olympia.  She was an active member of the Red Hat Society, the Blue Mountain Riders and a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints. Sandra was also an avid tennis player and horseback rider, as well as a lover of animals. 

Sandra is survived by her husband of 47 years, Stan Nuxall Sr., son Stan Jr. (Bambie) Nuxall, daughter Treah and son-in-law Scott Pierce, granddaughter Kylie Pierce, brother Dan and sister-in-law Jeannie Creamer, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Ron “Pete” Creamer and James Creamer.

 A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at the Sandberg Center, 331 S.41st Ave, Van Giesen in West Richland, Wash.  A viewing will be held on Friday, Aug. 3, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Burns Mortuary in Hermiston.
