Wanda M. DeJean, 79, of Wallowa, died Oct. 25, 2003, at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Wash. She was born Jan. 11, 1924 in Minneolla, Kansas.

Mrs. DeJean had been a resident of Wallowa since 1952.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Sylvia Whitefoot of Bulls Gap Tenn., Dale and Dawn Simpson of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, Robert Simpson of Osbourne, Idaho, and Ron and Latina Ramsey of Woodland, Wash.; granddaughter Krysta Peterson of Wallowa, along with eight more special grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Florian E. DeJean.

After cremation, Mrs. DeJean's remains will be laid to rest at Bramlet Cemetery in Wallowa. No funeral services were held.
