Most people are irrational when it comes to money. They don't see the big picture nor do they care. They want to see it in their own bank account.

I just wonder what newspaper or magazine you copied your statistics out of. (Letters, "Offset to fear-mongering," May 7).

People don't look at far-reaching institutions, they look at their paycheck for immediate use.
