To the Editor:

Concerning Michael Lane's counterpoint column (Chieftain, June 23, page A5) to E.H. Van Blaricom's article on racial humor, I would have this to say: E.H. grew up in a generation of hardworking folks that loved God, country and family much as did I. Mr. Lane questions where E.H. grew up and I would have to think it was in a much harder time not influenced by the pathological Democratic politicians that live in the Portland and Eugene areas of our state. Mr. Lane speaks in counterpoint of something of which he has little or no knowledge.
