To the Editor:

For the last decade or so, the Courthouse grounds have been maintained as a garden; not just for the esthetics, but also to honor the veterans who are memorialized on the monuments.

To the group of people who are set on trashing that garden I say your use of “ours” does not include all of the citizens of this county, just your select few.

There are city parks in the county which are better suited to your venues, please use them.

And just an FYI: You do not have to be dead to have your name engraved in stone at the Fountain of Honor.
