Letters to the Editor Policy

The Wallowa County Chieftain welcomes letters to the editor, and encourages readers to utilize this forum to facilitate discussions of community issues and concerns. Letters should be type written, 300 words or less, and may be submitted by mail, e-mail, fax or in person at the office of the Wallowa County Chieftain, 106 N.W. 1st St. Mail letters to Wallowa County Chieftain, Attn: Editor, P.O. Box 338, Enterprise, OR 97828. E-mails can be sent to editor@wallowa.com or you may use this Web form. Faxes can be sent to 541-426-3921. Please include a telephone number so authenticity can be verified.

We reserve the right to reject or edit letters for content that in the opinion of the editor are libelous or in bad taste. Please limit letter submissions to once per month. "Thank you" letters will not be published in the letters section. Letters will be published on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline for letters is 5 p.m. on Monday the week of publication.
