Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held by the Wallowa County Planning Commission on Tuesday, April 24th at 7:00 p.m. in the Courtroom of the Wallowa County Courthouse. The agenda for this meeting will include, but is not limited to, the following items:
Qualle CUP#07-04 Findings - Proposal to allow a home based business, in the form of a "Bed and Breakfast", located at 61647 Lime Quarry Road outside of Enterprise. If approved, the applicant (Jeraldine Qualle) will provide weekend accommodations for up to two guests during the summer months.
Hockett LP#07-02, CUP#07-02 & CUP#07-03 Continued - Proposal to allow the creation of two 60 acre parcels and the construction of two non-farm dwellings (one per parcel) under House Bill 3326 provisions within the Exclusive Farm Use (EFU) zone. The property in question is owned by the David, Roger, Clyde, and John Hockett and described as Township 2 South, Range 46, Sections 30&31, Tax Lot 3600. The minimum parcel size in the EFU zone is 160 acres.
Olsen CUP#07-01 - Proposal to establish an accessory farm dwelling to be use by a family member whose help is needed to run the family farm. The property in question is owned by the Elk Mountain Cattle Company, is described as Township 1 South, Range 45, Tax lot 800, and is zoned Exclusive Farm Use (EFU).
McFetridge Ranch CUP#07-05 - Proposal to allow the establishment of a "hardship dwelling" to be occupied by Ed & Larissa Barnhart on property owned by McFetridge Ranch Inc. The property in question is described as Township 02 South, Range 45, Tax lot #900, and is zoned Exclusive Farm Use (EFU).
Daggett ZC#07-03 - Proposal to amend the Wallowa County Comprehensive Land Use Plan text to include a Goal 3 exception to change the zoning classification of 10 acres of real property from Exclusive Farm Use (EFU) to Rural Commercial (R-C) and for a corresponding zoning map amendment. The property in question is described as Township 2 South, Range 45, Section 20, Tax Lot 100.

This matter will be reviewed for conformance to the WCCLUP and the WCLDO and any other applicable goal, regulation or ordinance of Wallowa County or the State of Oregon. All applications and draft staff reports may be reviewed in the Planning Department Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 5:00pm. Written comments must be received by the Wallowa County Planning Department -101 S. River St. Room B-1, Enterprise, OR 97828 - by 5 p.m. on Monday, April 23, 2007. Oral comments may be given at the time of the hearing which is open to the public. Those interested in attending are encouraged to do so.
