The Wallowa Cougars improved to 16-1 Friday in Wallowa with a 25-17, 25-16, 25-12 Old Oregon League volleyball win over the Prairie City Panthers.

Wallowa's serving and hitting statistics were lower than its norm, but the Cougars only made four passing errors and very few mental mistakes, Wallowa coach Terri Wilson said.

Megan McLain, Lynique Oveson and Sarah Bomberger were all 100 percent in their passing attempts for the Cougars. As a team Wallowa served at an 87 percent cip with Sandra Deal, Amanda Wilson and Holli Barton leading the team. Coach Wilson praised Deal for her play off the bench.
