Joseph High School's football team absorbed a 66-24 loss Oct. 9 at home to Imbler High.

The outcome set the Eagles' overall record down to 1-5 overall, while their mark in Old Oregon fell to 0-2.

"The first quarter, I thought we played with 'em," coach Rusty Eschler said. "But then we got scared even though we did a lot of hitting all week in practice.

"These guys work as hard as any team I've ever coached. They say a tough season will make you work harder to succeed. We want to get some of that hard-nosed, in-your-face attitude."

The Eagles will stick around Joseph Oct. 16 for their final home game. They will host Spartans from Pine Eagle.
