Playing against a potpourri of larger schools, the Enterprise girls’ golf team placed second among six schools at the La Grande Invitational golf tournament last Friday, April 11.

Three veteran players on Coach Mike Crawford’s team – McKenna Miller, Carsen Sajonia, and Hayley Riggs – eclipsed the century mark on a day when the Outlaw girls only were bested by Pendleton.

Other teams competing that Friday represented schools from Ontario, Baker City, La Grande, and Goldendale, Wash.

Miller shot a 91, Sajonia a 96, and Riggs a 99 for a team that posted a team total of 425 strokes. Stefany Christman circled the course in 139 strokes to round out the EHS team score, while the fifth team member, whose round did not figure in the team total, was Jackie Jenson, who shot a 148.
