The Enterprise girls rebounded from their Friday night thrashing at the hands of Pine Eagle to defeat the E-gals from Joseph 54-41 at Quinn Court on Saturday. "The girls had a totally different look in their eyes," said Mike Crawford, EHS coach. The E-gals gave Enterprise a run for their money, taking the first quarter 12-10. Enterprise mounted a strong attack in the second and third quarters out scoring Joseph 31-16 to lead the game 41-28 heading into the final period of play. EHS connected on 22 of 50 tries from the field for 44% for the game.

The fourth quarter saw both team hit for 13 points each.

Enterprise spread out their scoring with Jessie Morgan leading the squad with 11, including three buckets from three point land. Following Morgan were Kayla Stoffel and Jessica Marcum with ten and Madi Smith with eight points. Enterprise had 15 turnovers in the contest including five in the second half.

Brook Moncrief had her first varsity start for the E-gals and it was a good thing. Moncrief exploded from beyond the arc connecting on four treys in the contest. She converted on another field goal and was one of four from the foul line to lead Joseph's scoring with 15 points. "She is a spark plug," said E-gals coach Dan Butterfield.

Anna Yost had another consistent game for the Blue and Gold with 12 points, 14 boards and three blocks.

Butterfield also commended the play of point guard Holli Parker. "She did a good job of taking care of the ball. Holli sat for only 35 seconds in our games over the weekend with both teams putting pressure on her as she brought the ball down court," Butterfield said.

Both teams continued to struggle from the charity stripe with Joseph converting seven of 20 and Enterprise managing five of 21. The coaches agreed that if they could get their free throw shooting in line, anything could happen.

"We didn't win the game but we had a lot of small victories within the game," Butterfield said.

"With eight games to go maybe we can get ourselves back in the race," said Crawford.
