Going into the district championships, Enterprise High School's track-and-field team already knows success.

Enterprise captured first-place medals from 12 events May 1 at the Jo-Hi Invite.

The boys accumulated enough points to win team scoring. Both of their relay quartets - the 4x100 and the 4x400 - won their races. The boys also boasted junior Jacob Girtz's victory in shot put, senior Dusty McAuliffe's in the 400, senior Patrick Baird's in the 800 and senior Matt Fisher's high hurdles.

Meanwhile, the girls also won six events. Senior Tricia O'Leary was the best in both the long jump and the triple jump. Sprinters took the other medals. Senior Kayla Foster won the 400 and the 200, junior Joscelyn Stangel the 800. The girls' long relay team added another victory.

Enterprise athletes will carry the outstanding performance May 8 to Stanfield High?School for this year's Blue Mountain Conference championship meet.
