Fly-tying enthusiasts are invited to attend the 15th Annual Northwest Fly Tyers Expo, March 22 at Wheeler Pavilion at the Lane County Fair Grounds. More that 175 fly-tyers will demonstrate tips and techniques in four two-hour educational sessions from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Sessions will focus on fly patterns for trout, steel head, bass, Atlantic and Pacific salmon and a variety of saltwater patterns.

The expo is sponsored by the Oregon Council of the Federation of Fly Fishers. In addition the expo will offer fly tying materials, tools and equipment. A silent auction featuring fly patters, books, tackle, outdoor equipment, clothing plus raffle events with fly rods, reels, books, video tapes and angling art. Following the expo, attendees are invited to attend the Annual Oregon Council of Fly Fishers awards banquet. The banquet program will include presentations of the Fly Tyer of the Year, Federator of the Year and State Club of the Year awards.
