WALLOWA — Members of the Wallowa Lostine Ford Foundation Leadership class continue to move forward with their “Light the Night” project, which will add lights to the Wallowa football field.

Although there’s no guarantee the new lights will be installed and ready for use before the 2015 football season begins, this remains the group’s goal. Power poles have been ordered, and the project’s electrical engineer, Darryl Nobles, is working on plans for the electrical hookups.

Donations to the project will be accepted throughout the summer, and memorials are also welcome. Tax-deductible donations can be sent to: Light the Night Project, P.O. Box 229, Wallowa, OR 97885.
