A strong first game set the momentum for Grant Union on Friday afternoon as the Prospectors defeated Enterprise 9/25, 23/25 and 17/25 in Wapiti League play in John Day. "We came out slow but the girls stepped up and played with heart in games two and three," said EHS coach Tammy Crawford. Crawford said that the team overall served all right, going 40/45 for the match. Chelsie Noland and Jessie Morgan served the ball aggressively with Morgan scoring two aces. Maddie Smith and Kallie Hadden did a good job blocking. Smith was 100% at 4/4 while Hadden was 8/13 for the match. Enterprise was 35/43 in hitting. "We're hitting the ball pretty well," Crawford said. "We've been working on that."

Enterprise will face Elgin on Friday at Enterprise for their last match of the season. "We're looking forward to playing Elgin and hope to end the season on a high note," Crawford said. Volleyball action is scheduled to get under way at 4 p.m.
