The No. 1-seeded Grant Union Lady Prospectors eliminated the No. 4-seeded Enterprise girls basketball team from the 2A district competition on Friday, 51-35.

Grant Union's bench play supplied the firepower that the Prospectors needed, outscoring EHS 19-5 for the game.

Grant Union held on to a three point 11-8 lead after one and extended their advantage to 21-14 at the half.

Enterprise was unable to capitalize on a number of G.U. turnovers in the second half and trailed 29-19 after three. The Prospectors held on to their advantage outscoring EHS 22-16 in the final period for the win.

Whitney Simmons led the Prospectors, shooting 5/5 from the floor for ten points.

EHS senior Lacey Nobles led all scoring in the game shooting 7-15 from the field and 4-9 from the charity stripe for 19 points. Nobles also led all rebounders with 15.

Amy Jones had 10 boards for Grant Union.
