With an opening jamboree featuring all the teams this Saturday, April 24, the Wallowa County Little League is officially under way. If your child hasn't joined a team yet, don't worry, league organizer Cliff Conrad said children can still sign up. Conrad can be contacted at 514-426-4800 if you have any questions. Enterprise, Joseph and Wallowa all have teams this year and the league consists, currently, of better than 180 kids in three Major boys, four Minor boys, six Major girls and three Junior girls teams.

Little League play has a 65-year history, reaching back to Carl Stotz, the founder of the program in 1939. Those interested might want to check out the official Little League web site at, which covers the league's structure, history, worldwide divisions and much more.
