Long road trips take their toll on the Outlaws.

Enterprise High School boys spent much of the Jan. 16-17 weekend traveling to basketball games at Heppner, then at Stanfield. Travel started well, as the Outlaws knocked off the first-place Heppner Mustangs 71-61. But the next day, they dropped a halftime lead and fell to the Stanfield Tigers 68-62.

As a result, Enterprise (6-7 overall, 3-2 in the district) wound up tied with Stanfield for fourth place in Blue Moutain Conference standings.

Over the weekend, senior Dakota Hull averaged 23 points per game. Senior Trenton Neil averaged 17.5, senior Dusty McAuliffe nine, senior Matt Fisher seven, junior Jacob Micka three and senior Tyler Warner two. Sophomore Kyle Stangel contributed two points to the win at Heppner. Senior Steve Simpson and junior Jacob Girtz both managed a basket at Stanfield.

Enterprise can stay home Jan. 23 and host Union. The next day, the Outlaws go to Pilot Rock.
