One hundred runners and walkers filled the course at the 2002 Alder Slope Run/Walk last Saturday morning. Race Directors Sue Rodakowski and Michele Young were pleased with the turn out, but said that numbers were down from previous years. "Elgin and Union have races scheduled on the same day so we lost some of the people from Union County", Young said.
Two years ago participation swelled to 170 entries, only to fall off to 130 last year.
