The sixth annual Alder Slope Run/Walk will be held Saturday, June 15, in conjunction with the Summerfest celebration in Enterprise. The pre-race sign-up is scheduled at 8:45 a.m. at Enterprise City Park, with the race to start at 9 a.m.

There will be six age divisions in both running and walking events for males and females: age 14 and under, 15-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 and over. There will be three routes, 1.2 miles, 3.1 miles (5 K) and 6.2 miles (10K).

Ribbons will be awarded to the top three finishers in each 5K and 10K competition division, while those who take part in the 1.2 mile race will receive participants' ribbons.

After the race, refreshments will be served at the park and a drawing for prizes donated by the Enterprise Merchants Association will be held.

For those who did not register by June 7, there is a entry fee of $14 with T-shirt and $7 for the race only. A race T-shirt cannot be guaranteed for late entrants.

The event is sponsored by Community Bank, Enterprise Merchants Association and Wallowa Memorial Hospital.

Pre-registration packets will be available at the hospital business office, 426-3111, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and at city park from 7:45-8:15 a.m. Saturday. Registration forms are available at the hospital or Enterprise businesses.
