Eagle Cap Shooters Association will host a family day, featuring the National Rifle Association’s Three Gun Experience format 8 a.m. Saturday, April 21, at the association gun range on Ant Flat Road.

Participants will have a chance to fire rifles, pistols and shotguns for an entry fee of $5. Participants receive a t-shirt while supplies last.

The activities are open to boys and girls ages eight and older. Three age categories will be established: youth for those ages 8-12, juniors for those 13-17 and adult for those 18 and older.

All guns and ammunition are furnished free by the association. Do not bring guns.

Apple Flat Catering will be on hand to sell food. Restroom facilities will be available.

This is the first year the association has produced the NRA program. Subsequent sessions are planned with shooters able to earn points toward a division title. Points are awarded to those who complete all three shooting stations the quickest with the best marksmanship.
