Trenton Neil and Dakota Hull sparked the Outlaws to their first win of the season.
Neil buried six three-point field goals and totaled 23 points, Hull scored 18 points and the Enterprise High School boys beat Ione High 73-40 on Dec. 6, the second day of Ione's basketball tournament.
The Outlaws returned home with a 1-2 record.
Nine Outlaws contributed baskets to the victory. Along with Neil and Hull, seniors Tyler Warner and Matt Fisher both scored 7 points. Sophomore Kyle Stangel had 6 points, senior Dusty McAuliffe and Chauncey Galletly both had 4. Jacob Micka and Kendall Miller each made a basket.
Enterprise bounced back from a 59-49 loss the previous day against Umatilla High. Poor shooting hurt the Outlaws. In the first three quarters, they missed all of their 10 free-throw attempts. They would finish the game having made five of 21. But they still managed to tie the score at halftime. Umatilla took over in the third quarter. They shut down Hull - who already had 12 points at the half - and outscored Enterprise 16-6.
Fisher emerged as the Outlaws' top scorer with 16 points, while Hull was stuck with 12 before he fouled out.
Next, the Outlaws host the Tigers of La Grande High School on Dec. 12 at the Winter Classic in Enterprise.
