They're ready.

Northeast Wrestling Club prepared for its upcoming tournament in Enterprise by capturing 12 medals Nov. 27 at a competition in Milton-Freewater. The awards included three first-place rankings.

In Division 1, Michael Gebhardt wrestled in the 45-pound weight class and finished in third place. A couple of 50-pound teammates, Lute Ramsden and Tegan Evans, won trophies in their bracket. Ramsden was second, Evans third.

NEOWC scored really big in Division II. Trace Evans won the top prize in the 55-pound group. Belle Blair beat all of the other 60-pounders. In the 65, Andy Gebhardt ended up in first place, Zeb Ramsden second.

Success continued in Division III. In the 75-pound weight class, Dylan Staigle and Cole Farwell both took second place. Gus Ramsden was third in the 80.

As for Division IV, NEOWC remained strong. Clayne Miller ended up second in the 70-pound group. Whitman Blair was also second in the 80.

Next, the NEOWC will host its own tournament Dec. 4 at Quinn Court in Enterprise. Action begins at 10 a.m.
